  • Racing radio control sailboats is very exciting and lots of fun. All of the tactics are the same as for sailing full size boats, but with model boats everything happens much more quickly. There are lots of starts and lots of buoy roundings. Skippers are often of very competitive big boat skippers. When you get it right, it is fairly simple. Here are some of the tips we have learned over the years that will help guide you to having a terrific time racing your radio control sailboat with a fun group of fellow sailors.

CSC hosted the 2023 US Sailing Championship of Champions Regatta 10/20-22 in Dragonflite 95 boats. 12 competitors completed 16 races in light winds. Peter Feldman, the current Dragonflite 95 national champion, won the event. CSC's Robert Cummings placed 9th overall; he qualified for the regatta as the current Flying Scot Master's Champion. Access to the White Rock Lake will be closed this Sunday until 4:15pm, due to the Dallas Marathon. Accordingly, races this Sunday have been cancelled.

CSC’s annual awards banquet was held at Maggino’s last night. The food, drink and program were all outstanding. Fleet highlights and winning sailors were presented by fleet captains. Mark Mihm, CSC Commadore, presented the annual awards to the following:
